The Smarter Way to HOA
Making the experience better for everyone.
Making the experience better for everyone.
In 2018, Jake Christenson founded RowCal in Minnesota on a remarkably simple notion: That HOA communities – and the managers who serve them – deserve better. A former vice president of a national HOA management company, Jake believed that associations were underserved, and that community managers were overwhelmed and under-supported.
That’s why he launched RowCal and The Smarter Way to HOA – a team-based approach that combines exceptional specialists with innovative technology, to give associations the experience they deserve while supporting managers like never before. Each RowCal team includes experts in:
- Community management
- Accounting
- Customer care and support
- Banking and finance
- Construction and maintenance
- Asset management
- Insurance
After gaining significant market share in Twin Cities, Jake took RowCal’s solution to other communities such as Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado, Austin, Texas, the Los Angeles area, Chicago and more.
Today, though we now successfully manage more than a thousand communities across the country, we’ve never lost our focus on providing the local touch, teams and resources that make a difference for the neighborhoods we serve. And we do everything with a can-do attitude and joyful spirit that put HOA leaders at ease.

Come work for a company that still believes in:
The power of great customer service
The magic in creating exceptional HOA community experiences
The obligation to help its employees go further, reach higher and live better
In the markets in which we operate, our impact is multi-dimensional and long-lasting. Through our RowCal for Good Program, we make it our mission to “support the associations we manage, and the communities that surround them.”
How do we do it? By taking an active role in dozens of charitable initiatives that address crucial needs such as food insecurity, environmental revitalization, youth engagement, mental health support for veterans, and much more. Some of these life-changing programs include:
- Volunteering at community clean-up and tree-planting events
- Supplying and serving at food banks and community kitchens
- Serving breakfast to veterans and engaging with our military heroes
- Sponsoring local community art
- Raising scholarship funds for underprivileged students
- Enhancing police-community engagement and relations
- Participating in local food, bedding, coat and toy drives around the holidays
Amazingly, we’ve found that our volunteerism has not only strengthened our local communities, but also created a greater sense of purpose, connection and camaraderie among our employees as well. Relationships are transformed – from “coworkers” to “teammates” and, ultimately, to “friends” – and special memories are made that can last a lifetime.
That’s the power of RowCal for Good.
